Students from Qatar participate in the Gulf ‘Artificial Intelligence in Education’ camp
The camp is designed to train 14 students from Qatar on concepts of algorithms and fundamental methodologies in programming and AI through the implementation of a series of practical projects. The event includes an introduction to the Python programming language and AI, as well as training in machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning, understanding generative intelligence, and prompt engineering.
“AI is considered one of the main drivers of growth and innovation in all sectors, including the education sector.” - MoEHE
The Qatari students participating in the camp are excited to learn about the cutting-edge methods utilized in AI technologies and their applications in education. This experience will help them internalize further expertise in technology and serve Qatar in the areas of AI and cybersecurity.
AI has numerous applications in education, including personalized learning and intelligent tutoring systems
The training camp is an interactive educational platform for presenting and discussing scientific material. Based on what they have learned, participants complete exercises and practical projects. This hands-on approach will help them understand the labor market needs and forge connections with a contingent of trainers from various member countries.
The Gulf ‘Artificial Intelligence in Education’ camp is a significant step towards embracing AI in education and preparing the next generation of AI professionals in the Gulf region.
