The Unstoppable Class of 2024
As I reflect on the graduating class of 2024, I am reminded of the power of resilience and determination. These students have faced unprecedented challenges, from navigating the complexities of online learning to coping with the emotional toll of a global pandemic. And yet, they have emerged stronger, more united, and more determined than ever.
Scaling new heights
Take Farhaan Siddiqui, for instance. This talented young programmer has already made a name for himself in the world of computer science, running scripts for the University of New Hampshire’s engineering school as a high school student. But what’s truly remarkable about Farhaan is his willingness to take risks and push beyond his comfort zone. Whether he’s scaling a rock wall at his climbing gym or tackling complex coding challenges, Farhaan embodies the spirit of adventure and innovation that defines this graduating class.
“I wanted to do something that I didn’t normally do,” he said.
Or consider Morgan Casey, the class president and salutatorian, who has worked tirelessly alongside state representatives to draft a bill addressing the student loan crisis in New Hampshire. Her dedication to creating positive change is inspiring, and her commitment to making a difference in her community is a testament to the power of civic engagement.
A moment to cherish
As I look out at the sea of faces, I am struck by the diversity and individuality of this graduating class. From the twins Laura and Alan Yap, who have navigated the challenges of high school together, to Hayley Smiglowski, who has left an indelible mark on the Bishop Brady community, each student has a unique story to tell.
“Bishop Brady is small, but we are mighty,” said Morgan Casey. “We are a group of committed individuals who have left our mark.”
As they embark on the next chapter of their journey, I have no doubt that these graduates will continue to inspire, innovate, and make a lasting impact on the world around them.
